You retain ownership of User Content uploaded to Carlective. However, by uploading content, you allow Carlective to store, process, display, and use that content to provide and improve the Platform. This may include:

We do not claim ownership of your vehicles, photographs, or personal automotive history.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Carlective is built to be privacy-first. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party tracking technologies. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and there is no cookie consent banner because no non-essential cookies are set.

We use only strictly necessary browser storage, which is exempt from consent requirements under PECR:

Authentication session storage. Your sign-in session (access and refresh tokens) is stored in your browser's local storage by our authentication provider. This is strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to secure your account. Removing it would make it impossible to log in.
Application preferences and local content. A small amount of local storage holds app state on your device, such as whether you have completed onboarding and any vehicle, passport or journey drafts you create locally. This never leaves your device unless you choose to save it to your account.

We do not use third-party font, script, tag manager or advertising services; fonts and assets are served from Carlective itself so no data is sent to third parties simply by loading the app.

You can clear this storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and remove locally stored drafts.
