Carlective Community Guidelines

Building a trusted community for automotive enthusiasts

Effective Date: 01/08/2026

Welcome to Carlective

Carlective is more than a platform for storing vehicle information. It is a community built around automotive passion, ownership stories, creativity, knowledge sharing, and meaningful connections.

Whether you own a classic, performance car, daily driver, modified build, project car, electric vehicle, or simply appreciate automotive culture, Carlective exists to bring enthusiasts together.

A great automotive community is built on trust and respect. These Community Guidelines explain the behaviours we encourage and the standards expected from everyone who joins Carlective. By using Carlective, you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. Our Community Values

Carlective is built around five core principles:

Passion

We celebrate genuine enthusiasm for all types of vehicles. Every vehicle has a story, whether it is a rare collector car, a carefully modified build, or a first car someone saved years to own.

Respect

Respect other members, their opinions, their vehicles, and their experiences. Automotive culture is diverse. Different people enjoy different cars, styles, brands, and approaches to ownership.

Authenticity

Be genuine. Share real experiences, accurate information, and honest opinions.

Knowledge Sharing

Carlective encourages members to learn from one another. Share advice, maintenance knowledge, ownership experiences, and automotive discoveries.

Trust

Trust is the foundation of the community.

Be transparent, fair, and responsible when interacting with other members.

2. Celebrating All Vehicles

Carlective welcomes enthusiasts from all areas of automotive culture. This includes:

  • Performance cars.
  • Classic vehicles.
  • Supercars.
  • Modified cars.
  • Track-inspired builds.
  • Electric vehicles.
  • Motorcycles where supported.
  • Everyday vehicles with personal meaning.
  • Unique or unusual vehicles.

A vehicle does not need to be expensive, rare, or prestigious to be appreciated. The story behind a vehicle matters.

3. Vehicle Profiles & Digital Garages

Your Digital Garage represents your automotive journey. When creating vehicle profiles: Please:

  • Provide accurate information.
  • Share genuine photographs.
  • Be honest about modifications and history.
  • Respect previous owners and builders.
  • Credit others where appropriate.

Do not:

  • Create fake vehicle histories.
  • Claim ownership of vehicles you do not own.
  • Misrepresent modifications.
  • Upload misleading documentation.
  • Present opinions as verified facts.

Carlective is built on authenticity.

4. Respectful Discussions

Automotive communities thrive on debate, but discussions should remain respectful. You are encouraged to:

  • Share opinions.
  • Discuss different brands and models.
  • Debate automotive trends.
  • Exchange knowledge.

However, avoid:

  • Personal attacks.
  • Insults.
  • Harassment.
  • Aggressive arguments.
  • Gatekeeping.

Examples of unacceptable behaviour:

“Anyone who drives that car knows nothing about cars.”

“That build is terrible because you don’t understand cars.”

Healthy disagreement is welcome. Disrespect is not.

5. No Elitism or Gatekeeping

Carlective is not about proving who has the most expensive vehicle or the biggest collection. Do not:

  • Judge members based on their vehicle value.
  • Exclude people because they own a different brand.
  • Mock beginner enthusiasts.
  • Treat ownership status as a measure of someone’s passion.

A person with a first car can be just as passionate as a collector with a garage full of vehicles.

6. Honest Reviews & Feedback

Reviews, ratings, and feedback help build trust. When leaving feedback: Do:

  • Be truthful.
  • Be fair.
  • Explain your experience.
  • Provide constructive comments.

Do not:

  • Create fake reviews.
  • Leave reviews to manipulate reputation.
  • Attack people personally.
  • Use reviews for revenge.

Feedback should help improve the community.

7. Safety and Responsible Behaviour

Carlective supports responsible automotive enthusiasm. Members must not use the platform to encourage:

  • Dangerous driving.
  • Illegal street racing.
  • Reckless behaviour.
  • Criminal activity.
  • Unsafe vehicle practices.

Content celebrating automotive culture is welcome. Content encouraging harm or illegal activity is not.

8. Vehicle Sharing and Future Services

If Carlective introduces vehicle sharing, bookings, marketplace features, or partner services, additional rules may apply. Members participating in these services must:

  • Act responsibly.
  • Respect other people’s vehicles.
  • Follow agreed terms.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Communicate clearly.

Trust between enthusiasts is essential.

9. Content Standards

Carlective encourages members to share:

  • Vehicle photography.
  • Build progress.
  • Ownership stories.
  • Reviews.
  • Automotive knowledge.
  • Event experiences.
  • Recommendations.

Content should not include:

  • Illegal material.
  • Hate speech.
  • Threats.
  • Explicitly harmful content.
  • Fraudulent information.
  • Spam.
  • Unauthorised personal information.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

Respect other members’ privacy.

Do not share:

  • Personal contact details.
  • Private conversations.
  • Documents.
  • Vehicle ownership information belonging to others.

Only share information you have permission to share.

11. Commercial Activity

Carlective may include automotive businesses, specialists, garages, and partners. Businesses and professionals must:

  • Represent themselves honestly.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Avoid spam.
  • Engage with the community respectfully.

Members should not use Carlective primarily for:

  • Unapproved advertising.
  • Spam promotion.
  • Fraudulent sales activity.

12. Reporting Problems

If you see behaviour that violates these guidelines, you can report it to Carlective. Reports may relate to:

  • Fake accounts.
  • Fraud.
  • Harassment.
  • Misleading vehicle information.
  • Unsafe behaviour.
  • Inappropriate content.

Reports are reviewed to help maintain a safe and trusted community.

13. Enforcement

To protect the Carlective community, we may take action where guidelines are violated. Actions may include:

  • Removing content.
  • Limiting access to features.
  • Issuing warnings.
  • Suspending accounts.
  • Permanently removing users.

The action taken depends on:

  • Severity of the issue.
  • Impact on other users.
  • Previous behaviour.
  • Risk to the community.

14. Building the Future of Automotive Communities

Carlective aims to create a different kind of automotive platform. A place where:

  • Enthusiasts can document their journeys.
  • Owners can preserve vehicle stories.
  • Knowledge can be shared.
  • Communities can connect.
  • Cars are appreciated beyond their price tags.

Every member contributes to the culture of Carlective. Treat the platform as you would a great car meet: Show respect. Share passion. Appreciate the journey.

of a community built around one shared idea: Cars are more than machines. They are stories, experiences, and connections.
